WiFi QR Code Generator
Create a QR code guests can scan to join your Wi-Fi network, without typing the password.
Create a Wi-Fi QR code
Print this and guests can join your network by pointing a phone at it. The password never leaves this browser.
Exactly as it appears in your phone's list of networks.
Use WPA/WPA2 for anything modern. Open networks need no password.
Scanners read this from the QR code, so it is encoded rather than hidden.
The downloaded PNG is exactly this size, which is what a phone camera needs.
Higher levels survive a logo covering part of the code, but fit less content.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. The QR code is built in your browser from what you type, and the password is encoded into it rather than stored or transmitted. Anyone who can see the printed code can join the network, so print it for guests and take it down afterwards.
On Android, open the camera app and the code is recognised automatically. On iPhone, open the Camera app and point it at the code; a notification appears asking to join the network.
Nothing special is needed from you. Characters the Wi-Fi QR format treats as separators are escaped automatically, so a password such as a;b:c\d still encodes and scans correctly.
It marks the network as one that does not broadcast its name. Phones usually need this flag to join a network they cannot see listed, so tick it if your SSID is hidden.
It does not. Choosing 'None (open network)' removes the password entirely, and no empty password is encoded. If a scanner still asks for one, that network is in fact secured.
